LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS

AN EMPIRICAL COMPARATIVE EXAMINATION

This is one of the groundbreaking research conducted in Malawi. In fact, this research found the following:
  1. Intellectual stimulation behavior of school principals, a dimension of transformational leadership behavior, is positively and significantly related to teacher commitment to both students’ academic achievement and students’ social well-being.
  2. Transactional leadership does not have any effects on teacher commitment to students.
  3. No mediating effects are present for either organizational trust or collective efficacy in Malawi.
